Event: Ecology

Mission San Luis Rey organized, hosted and led an eco-justice program, Saturday morning, October 7, 2006.

The program was named "Environmental Celebration: St. Francis and the Care of Creation", and featured an action oriented blend of unique community leaders. Included were:

Major General Michael Lehnert, U.S. Marine Corps
Brother James Lockman, O.F.M. Executive Director Mission San Luis Rey
Jim Moriarty, Executive Director Surfrider Foundation

Eight presentations and workshops were conducted on subjects ranging from Eco-Justice at Mission San Luis Rey, to sustainable environmental engineering and stewardship, to the Bible and the environment.
